Pray for Brown County

Pray for Brown County exists to unify and call the Christians of Brown County, OH to PRAY! We also facilitate the National Day of Prayer (NDP) observance in Brown County, the first Thursday of May each year.

Nat'l Day of PrayerFacebook Page

In the wake of a global pandemic, our nation needs prayer now more than ever. Typically, we gather in Brown County at the Courthouse Square in Georgetown, but with the state still requesting we avoid large gatherings, things are going to look different this year. We see this as an opportunity rather than a setback!

Given these unique circumstances, we are providing several ways for you to engage in prayer.

Option 1: LIVE Online Gathering

Using Zoom, we can host up to 1,000 people from several different churches in Brown County from 6:30-7:30 pm! After a brief introduction, we’ll break into smaller groups of 4-6 to pray for our Nation, County and each other!

Option 2: National Broadcast

Join Michael W. Smith, Jim Cymbala, Will Graham, and many more for the live broadcast of the National Day Of Prayer Service from 8-10 pm. You can livestream it from their Facebook page or watch via GodTV, DayStar or other Christian TV channels.

Option 3: Pray at Home

Use the provided Prayer Guide (available soon on this website) and set aside 30-60 minutes to pray with your family at home. Or get creative and at some point in the day drive to a local school, hospital, business, or the Courthouse Square in Georgetown to pray for our communities, county, and nation.
